This is a small list of recipes that you can try with our maple syrup. Each of these recipes are made with real maple syrup from the trees on Malone Middle School property. All the boiling, bottling, and advertising is done right here at MMS. Down below are some great recipes correlated with maple syrup.

Maple Cranberry Sports Drink
Ingredients-
3 cups cranberry juice (100% juice)
5 cups water
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 star anise
Instructions:
Mix together all the ingredients. If using star anise,
leave to infuse for one hour then strain. Refrigerate.
SPLENDID MAPLE CANDY CRACKLE
Ingredients-
Place the first 6 ingredients in a medium sauce pan.
Place the saucepan on the stove and let cook on high heat for 9 mins
Add in the walnuts and let cook for 1 min.
Pour the hot mixture into silicone candy molds or onto a metal surface. ( I used the bottom of a cheesecake pan.
Freeze for two hours and serve.
Ingredients-
- 1 1/2 cups maple syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ginger powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Grenadian nutmeg powder
- 1 cup chopped almonds or any nut
Place the first 6 ingredients in a medium sauce pan.

Maple Sugar Cookies
Ingredients
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.In a large bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar. Add the egg, syrup and vanilla. Mix until well blended. Sift together the flour, salt and baking soda. Stir into mixture until well blended. Shape into 1 inch balls and roll in sugar. Place on cookie sheets about 2 inches apart and flatten slightly.Bake 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Let cool on wire rack.

- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 cup real maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar for decoration
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.In a large bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar. Add the egg, syrup and vanilla. Mix until well blended. Maple Latte Recipe
Ingredients-
Pour the cup of freshly brewed espresso into a mug, stirring in the maple syrup. Then, lightly spoon in steamed milk.
Sweet Tip: If you have a regular coffee maker at home without a milk steamer, we recommend lightly scalding ¼ of milk in a small pot. When ready, remove the pot from the stove and lightly froth the milk with a milk frother.
Ingredients-
- 1 serving of coffee
- 1-2 teaspoons of pure maple syrup from Canada (Grade A light or medium)
- Milk
Pour the cup of freshly brewed espresso into a mug, stirring in the maple syrup. Then, lightly spoon in steamed milk.
Sweet Tip: If you have a regular coffee maker at home without a milk steamer, we recommend lightly scalding ¼ of milk in a small pot. When ready, remove the pot from the stove and lightly froth the milk with a milk frother.
MAPLE PECAN PIE
Ingredients-
Mix eggs, syrup, sugar, butter, flour, vanilla and salt. Beat until smooth with a rotary beater. Stir in nuts. Fill pastry shell. Bake at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes.
Ingredients-
- 3 slightly beaten eggs
- 1 cup pure maple syrup
- 1/2 cup packed maple sugar
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/16 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 to 3/4 cup chopped pecans
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
Mix eggs, syrup, sugar, butter, flour, vanilla and salt. Beat until smooth with a rotary beater. Stir in nuts. Fill pastry shell. Bake at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes.
MAPLE NUT FUDGE
Ingredients-
Let cool thoroughly, score into 1 inch pieces and store in an airtight container. Makes 64 pieces.
Ingredients-
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated maple sugar
- 2 cups maple syrup
- 2/3 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped walnuts (you can substitute pecans if you like)
- In a deep, heavy pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sugar, syrup, heavy cream, and salt. Stir until the sugar is dissolved. Bring to a boil and cook without stirring to 240 degrees F. ( A drop of the mixture willl form a firm ball in a glass of ice water). This happens quickly so keep a close watch.
Let cool thoroughly, score into 1 inch pieces and store in an airtight container. Makes 64 pieces.
Strawberry Maple Slushie Recipe
Ingredients-
In a blender, combine orange juice and maple syrup; then add all strawberries and a handful of ice cubes.
Blend on “pulse” and pour into frosted glasses.
Garnish with a strawberry and savor one teaspoon at a time.
Ingredients-
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup from Canada
- 12 strawberries
- Ice cubes
In a blender, combine orange juice and maple syrup; then add all strawberries and a handful of ice cubes.
Blend on “pulse” and pour into frosted glasses.
Garnish with a strawberry and savor one teaspoon at a time.
Maple Sugar Pie
Ingredients for Crust-
2 cups flour
Pinch of salt
1/2 cup cold butter, cut into small cubes (1 stick)
1/2 cup cold water
Ingredients for Filling3 tablespoons butter
1/3 cup cornstarch
2 1/4 cups pure maple syrup from Canada
1/4 cup cream
1/2 cup water
Coarse sea salt, to garnish
To prepare the crust-
In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Using a pastry knife or your hands, cut butter into flour mixture until dough resembles coarse meal. Add water, 1 tablespoon at a time, stirring until dough comes together into a uniform ball. Wrap in cling wrap and chill at least 30 minutes.Preheat oven to 350ºF. On a floured surface, roll dough 1/8-inch thick and line a 9-inch pie tin with dough. Prick with a fork. Top with baking paper and dried beans. Bake until crust is golden, 15-20 minutes. Remove baking paper and beans, and allow crust to cool.
To prepare the filling:In a large pot over medium low heat, melt butter. Remove from heat. Add cornstarch and mix well to combine. Stir in maple syrup, cream and water.

MAPLE BLONDE BROWNIESOven at 350 degrees.
Spray a 9 by 13 inch cake pan with baking spray, coating evenly.
Whisk together:
1 ½ cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
Set aside.
Whisk together:
1 ½ sticks unsalted butter, melted and cooled.
1 ½ cups Maple Indian Sugar
When combined, whisk in:
2 large eggs
4 tsps. Vanilla extract
Stir in the flour mixture.
Add the following:
1/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/3 cup bittersweet chocolate chips
1/3 cup milk chocolate chips
or any combination of the above totaling 1 cup.Optionally, add ½ cup nuts.Scrape the batter into the prepared pan, smooth the top. Bake for 22-25 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean, with a few crumbs.Cool completely on a wire rack to room temperature before cutting, approx.. 1 ½ hours.Cut into squares. These bars freeze beautifully.

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3/4 cup maple sugar
1/3 cup pure maple syrup from Canada
1/4 cup canola oil
2 egg whites
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 ripe banana, mashed with a fork
Pieces of nuts and dried fruit for garnish
Instructions-
Preheat oven to 350°F. In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon and lemon zest. In another bowl, use an electric mixer to combine the maple sugar with the canola oil and maple syrup. Add the egg whites and beat until smooth and uniform. Gradually fold in the dry ingredients. Then stir in lemon zest and banana. Drop a heaping teaspoon of thick batter onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving 2″ of space between each. Add one or two pieces of nuts or dried fruit to center of each disc, if desired. Bake, one sheet at a time, for about 8 minutes or until the bottom of the cookies have browned.

Ingredients-
In a blender, purée all ingredients. Serve immediately.

- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice
- ½ cup freshly chopped pineapple
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- ½ cup maple water
- 1 cup ice
